Knirps® Heat Shield for Hot Summer Days

The Knirps® Heat Shield umbrellas are also the focus of this article. They offer UV protection 50+ and, thanks to their special coating, reduce the heat under the umbrella. According to Andrea Strotz, this can make the perceived temperature up to 40 percent lower. At the same time, the umbrellas also protect against rain, making them highly versatile.

Demand at Strotz Has Risen Significantly

The growing importance of UV-protective umbrellas is also reflected in sales figures: From January to June 2026, sales at Strotz tripled compared to the previous year. A five-figure number of UV-protective umbrellas have already been sold this year. According to Andrea Strotz, demand for the Knirps® Heat Shield models has been growing steadily since their launch in 2021.
